Electrical Conductivity of Bi2TeO5 Single Crystals at High Temperatures

A systematic study of the electrical conductivity of Bi2TeO5 single crystals has been carried out within a wide range of temperature using impedance spectroscopy and dc measurement. The corresponding complex impedance and Arrhenius plots are given. It has been shown that the ambient atmosphere affects the electrical conductivity and there is a large anisotropy in the conduction.

Keywords: bismuth tellurite, electrical conductivity, photorefractive material, impedance spectroscopy
