This paper deals with effect of process optimization during the precipitation of sodium fluosilicate using sodium chloride, and fluosilicic acid, which is a byproduct during the production of phosphoric acid. Series of process changes have been carried out as per descriptions written in the paper. Quantity of fine sodium fluosilicate crystals added before the reaction has been recorded accordingly. The size of the crystals was observed before and after the seeding. Better filtration rate of slurry was obtained in the centrifugal and the moisture of the intermediate product was decreased.
