Thermal decomposition of ZnHg(SCN)4 (ZMTC) in air was investigated by means of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The intermediates and final products of the thermal decomposition were identified by X-ray powder diffraction at room temperature.
