Single-crystal hexagonal prism SrCO3 microrods have been prepared by a simple solvothermal route. The effects of the reaction time, the content of 1,2-propanediol and the reactants mass on the products have been investigated, respectively. The as-synthesized microrods were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results reveal that the products have uniform shape and excellent monodispersity.
